After leading the nation with a 49.8% three-point shooting percentage during his tenure at Dayton, Brea transferred to the Kentucky Wildcats for the 2024–25 season. His remarkable accuracy has continued, with Brea currently maintaining a three-point shooting percentage exceeding 52%, positioning him as the nation’s top shooter.
Brea’s impact on the Wildcats has been profound. In a thrilling 106-100 victory over the previously unbeaten Florida Gators, he delivered a standout performance, scoring 23 points and sinking seven three-pointers off the bench. Such contributions have been instrumental in Kentucky’s strong season start under Coach Mark Pope, who emphasizes a fast-paced, three-point-centric offense.
Assistant coach Cody Fueger highlighted the team’s strategy, stating their goal to attempt over 30 three-pointers per game, with Brea’s shooting prowess being central to this approach.
