In a fitting tribute to one of motorsports’ most iconic figures, Eldora Speedway has officially unveiled a life-size bronze statue of Tony Stewart, honoring his lasting impact on racing and the legendary dirt track he owns. Crafted by renowned motorsports sculptor Lou Cella, the statue was revealed in a special ceremony attended by fans, drivers, and racing legends.

The sculpture captures Stewart in his iconic post-race pose—arms raised in triumph, fire suit dusty from battle, and a look of pure determination etched on his face. It stands prominently near the entrance of Eldora, symbolizing Stewart’s deep ties to the speedway and his commitment to grassroots racing.

Tony Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and a fierce advocate for dirt track racing, purchased Eldora in 2004. Since then, he has elevated it into a premier venue for short-track events like the Eldora Million and the Kings Royal.

“This is more than just a statue,” Stewart said. “It’s a tribute to the sport, the fans, and everything Eldora stands for.”

Cella, who also sculpted figures of Dale Earnhardt and other legends, called the piece “a celebration of passion, grit, and racing heritage.”
