DONE DEAL: Emmanuel Dennis is back in the Premier League with newly promoted Nottingham Forest…
Emmanuel Dennis has officially returned to Nottingham Forest following the conclusion of his loan spell at Blackburn Rovers. The Nigerian forward joined Blackburn on loan in February 2025, but the arrangement did not include an option for a permanent transfer. Consequently, Dennis is back at Forest as of May 2025, with no immediate plans for a permanent move elsewhere .
Dennis initially signed with Nottingham Forest in August 2022 from Watford for a reported fee of £20 million . During his time at Forest, he had limited impact, scoring twice in 19 Premier League appearances. Subsequently, he had loan spells at İstanbul Başakşehir and a return to Watford before his stint with Blackburn Rovers .
Despite his return, Dennis’s future at Nottingham Forest remains uncertain. The club is reportedly eager to offload the striker due to his substantial £4 million-a-year salary. While there has been interest from clubs like Watford and Sheffield Wednesday, his high wages have proven to be a significant stumbling block in facilitating a transfer
