NEWS: Kyle Larson will serve as the practice & qualifying driver for the All-Star Race and as the reserve driver for both the All-Star and Coca-Cola 600 weekends.. See why, full details👇

Hendrick Motorsports has confirmed that NASCAR star Kyle Larson will serve as the practice and qualifying driver for the upcoming All-Star Race, and also act as the reserve driver for both the All-Star and Coca-Cola 600 weekends. The announcement comes as Larson prepares for a historic double-duty effort, attempting to race in both the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca-Cola 600 on the same day—known as “The Double.”

With scheduling and travel logistics tight, Larson’s participation in all practice sessions is not guaranteed. As a precaution, Hendrick Motorsports has decided that he will handle initial duties for the All-Star Race to ensure proper car setup and team alignment. Should any conflicts or delays arise from his Indy 500 commitments, Larson will also be available to step in as a reserve driver for both major NASCAR events.

“This is a once-in-a-lifetime challenge, but I’m fully committed to both teams,” Larson said. “I want to compete at the highest level in both races and support my crew every step of the way.”

Fans will be watching closely as Larson attempts one of motorsports’ most ambitious feats—racing 1,100 miles in a single day.
