In a devastating tragedy that has sent shockwaves through the sports world, a private plane carrying seven members of the Indianapolis Colts organization—including star players and their family members—crashed late Sunday evening, leaving no survivors. The flight, en route from a charity event in Florida back to Indianapolis, went down near Chattanooga, Tennessee, under unclear weather conditions.

Among the victims were two Pro Bowl players, a rising rookie, and three family members, including two children. The team has not yet released the names pending family notifications. Authorities say the jet lost contact with air traffic control minutes before the crash and descended rapidly into a wooded area, where emergency crews arrived to find wreckage engulfed in flames.

Colts owner Jim Irsay released a statement saying, “We are devastated beyond words. These men were not only exceptional athletes, but fathers, sons, and brothers. Our hearts go out to their families.” The NFL and fellow teams have offered condolences, and tributes have begun pouring in from fans, players, and coaches nationwide.

The Colts have canceled all team activities this week, and grief counselors have been made available to players and staff. The NTSB is investigating the cause of the crash.
