Cleveland, ranked as the No. 3 defensive lineman in the 2026 class by 247Sports Composite, initially committed to Alabama in October 2024 but decommitted in December, citing that he made his decision “too early” in the process .
Florida’s coaching staff, led by head coach Billy Napier and defensive line coach Gerald Chatman, played a significant role in Cleveland’s decision. After two visits to Gainesville within three weeks, Cleveland expressed appreciation for the program’s family-oriented atmosphere and the genuine relationships he built with the coaches .
Cleveland’s junior season statistics include 69 total tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks over 22 games, contributing to Parker High School’s Alabama 6A state championship victory . His commitment adds to Florida’s 2026 recruiting class, joining four-star quarterback Will Griffin and four-star safety Devin Jackson .
